As the music played, I couldn’t keep still. My hips were entranced by the rhythms and an energy built up within me. It called to me to keep moving, not just in that moment, but forward to new adventures. I stood up as I couldn’t sit still any longer. I looked out to the water and the islands as we passed them. There is so much of this world I haven’t seen and so many people left to learn from, I thought, pondering my next move.
I felt something pulling me to my left. You were standing across the stern, watching me sway with the music with bright eyes and a mischievous smile, matching my motions. For a time, we danced in unison as if the others couldn’t see our pairing, naïve to the frequency we were tuned into. I looked away, nervous as to what it meant, but hopeful to tune into it again.
